The Thursday Post 21.2.13

Delhi has been the capital of many of Indian dynasties for centuries, as a result it is studded with historical monuments. That’s the happy part, the sad part is that 78% of these monuments are either rubbles or are reducing to one because they are not acknowledged as national heritage.

Those of you who have seen these buildings will be sad to know that, if the government can’t maintain them may be they will try to lease them out to those who are interested to restore them and utilize them for commercial purposes.

After all, if I had money I sure would have liked to own a small historical building and would surely have tried to restore it to its original glory as much as I could.

They can seriously think about their decision.
